Jeremy's cousin, Brittney, got married this weekend and I was a bridesmaid! Here are a few pictures from the wedding, including one picture of when we got home. Nate cuddled up with Nate on the couch for a little shut-eye!
Life continues to go on even when there is a loss to deal with. We all still miss Graham but we have had some cherished moments over the past few weeks that I wanted to share as well. The weather here in KC has definitely gotten hot and horribly humid too! It is definitely summer here in the Midwest, which makes for perfect pool weather. We broke out the swim trunks and matching life vest that my mom had bought Nate and visited our neighborhood pool a couple of times. He was not too excited to get in the water at first but it was not long before he was pushing me away to swim on his own! He will be starting swim lessons in a couple of weeks which I am looking forward to. It will be good to have him comfortable with the water and with learning how to swim. The second picture is of Nate enjoying Honey's oreo cookie ice cream dessert and the third picture is when Nate decided to dress himself one morning...a complete outfit that included his ducky slippers and my flowered beach hat. I had to take a picture because it was too cute but I did not allow him to walk out the door in the ensemble! I am just not ready for him to dress himself yet...haha!
Stephanie: One night in 2004 a friend called and said, "I hope you don't mind, I gave out your phone number." I was a little stunned at first, but decided to go along with it. After several phone conversations, many dates, a season of baseball, and a few starts and stops to the relationship, we found ourselves back together in the summer of '08 where we could not deny the fact that we were 'meant to be'! I believe love stories are like snowflakes, there are no two that are alike!
Jeremy: Ok here we go again, I thought, another blind date. Needless to say I had been on my fair share of those in the past but I thought what the heck, it couldn't hurt. So I finally got the nerve up to call and to my surprise, the voice on the other end had a calming effect on me and I found we had quite a bit in common. So we decided to meet and as soon as she opened the door I was blown away!! Finally I thought a blind date that might actually work out! And it did, sort of...even though both of us left thinking there probably wouldn't be another! Which brings us to present day...I am very grateful that GOD opened the door again and I look forward to our future together!
