What's this white stuff????

So, the boys and I woke up today to something we haven't seen in YEARS!!!! White stuff on the ground! I didn't think my boys would ever see this again and I think they had forgotten what it was!! They were quite intrigued but not very interested in staying outside too long. We are isolating ourselves inside today as I do not trust my driving skills in this stuff anymore! It has been 3 years since I have driven in it and I am not ready to get out in it yet! Gotta look at the positive aspect though....at least we are not living in Minnesota or further up north...I am trying to keep my whining to a minimum! haha!

Thawing out...

So, I took the boys out earlier today and it was so cold outside that I could have swore that my face went numb. Six hours later, I am still thawing out. So, to all of my AZ and FL friends, feel free to give me a taste of my own medicine and rub the warm temps in MY face now! haha!

Settling in....

Well, it has been over a week now and we have survived! The boxes are unpacked (most of them), the dogs are adjusting (even though they are not fans of the cold like their mom), and we are enjoying married life (even though we are in KC)! Actually, it has been wonderful being back in the Midwest despite the frigid temperatures. It has been nice being close to a lot of my friends and our family. I have already ran into several people I went to college with and have seen a few of my old friends. This is definitely where God wants us to be now and we are looking forward to what he has in store. We did get some sad news though yesterday. We found out that my little guy (Graham) has lymphoma. It has been hard enough knowing that Maverick has cancer and his time is unexpected and now Grahamy is sick too! But, thankfully, it sounds as though we caught it early enough and we are going to try and a round of chemotherapy. So, please keep him in your prayers as well. Hopefully he will respond well to the treatment.

On the road again...

Here we go again boys!!!

Last supper with Whitsbury Court...

...at least for awhile anyway! We all got together for our weekly traditional Chili's meal together! It was fun to hang out with everyone one last time before Jeremy and I got on the road Friday morning! I am sure going to miss our weekly Whitsbury outings and get togethers!

Happy New Year!

We all had a blast ringing in 2009 together! Scott and Joshua threw an awesome bash at their house and it was thought that at one point there were 50 people there! We had fireworks going off in the front yard, food and dancing inside, and beer pong in the backyard! We had so much fun! Happy New Year everyone!

Another adventure

Well, another UHaul is packed up and another adventure is about to begin! We got the UHaul and jeep packed up this evening and we will be heading out bright and early tomorrow morning. Hard to believe this day is here...the day where I am moving back to the Midwest! Even though this move is very bittersweet we have been reassured that this is the plan that God has for us at this time in our life. Who knows what the future holds, but no matter what happens, I am sure there will be many more adventures for us to experience and share!

We are heading out soon to have our last neighborly outing (at least until we visit next!) at our favorite spot, the local Chili's. I am sure going to miss the Whitsbury Court crew and of course I will miss my brother and Joshua terribly!

I will be posting some pictures soon of our New Years bash. We had a great time and I got a few very fun pictures! I hope all of you had a blessed first day of the year!
